FALL RETREAT

WISDOM IN THE WOODS

October 21-24, 2026

 

Autumn invites us home — to our roots, our truth, our breath. Join us for Wisdom in the Woods: The Art of Returning, a fall yoga and meditation retreat at River Mountain, a peaceful luxury glamping resort nestled among the Pennsylvania mountains. Over the course of three days, we’ll journey inward through movement, stillness and community — remembering what it means to live in rhythm with the earth, and to rest in the warmth of our own presence.

🌿 INCLUDES:
 

  • DAILY YOGA 
    Awaken your body and center your mind with guided practices designed to ground, energize, and align you with the spirit of the season.
     

  • MEDITATION 
    In this retreat, we’ll explore the three more subtle limbs of the yogic tree—Dharana (concentration), Dhyana(meditation), and Samadhi (absorption or unity). These inner practices invite us to move beyond doing into pure being—to rest in awareness itself. Guided meditations, Yoga Nidra, and silent sittings will help you reconnect with your center—the steady ground beneath all movement and change. Each session blends ancient yogic wisdom with mindfulness practices designed to cultivate presence, compassion, and inner peace. You’ll also have the opportunity to experience the devotional rhythm of Japa or mantra meditation as a bridge into stillness and the quiet joy of Dhyana.
     

  • BODY WORK
    Sink into stillness and receive the nurturing touch of therapeutic massage. Our bodywork sessions are designed to help you reconnect with your physical body as a source of wisdom and grounding — releasing held tension and inviting a sense of wholeness and calm that lingers long after the retreat.  All retreat participants receive a 15 minute chair massage. Optional longer massages available by appointment for an additional charge.
     

  • LUXURY GLAMPING ACCOMODATIONS
    Sleep under the stars in comfort and style. River Mountain’s modern glamping pods offer the perfect blend of cabin charm, tiny house functionality, and the wonder of camping—all just a short drive from Washington D.C., Baltimore, and Pittsburgh.
     

  • FRESH, NOURISHING MEALS 
    Savor delicious, chef-prepared meals crafted with fresh, seasonal ingredients to fuel your wellness experience. Includes: Dinner on Wednesday, Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner on Thursday & Friday, and Breakfast on Saturday morning.
     

  • GUIDED HISTORIAL HIKE
    Explore 150 acres of lush, forested trails with an expert-led hike that weaves together the natural and cultural history of the land.
     

  • HOT SPRINGS CEDAR SOAKING TUBS
    Unwind under the open sky in River Mountain’s tranquil soaking tubs—your muscles and mind will thank you.
     

  • HONEY TASTING
    Experience what's known as “liquid gold” and taste the exquisite flavor of raw HONEY! Led by Beekeeper, Darci, this is a complete flavor journey - learn about River Mountains bee hives and taste the unbelievable flavor of small batch honeys and unique regional profiles.
     

  • SWIM POND
    Take a refreshing dip in Dewey's natural swim pond.
     

  • HAPPY HOUR 
    Nightly at 5PM (draft beer and "secret recipe" sangria offered)

COSTS: 
(Includes everything aside from tax, fees and transportation to/from. Yurt costs are based on double occupancy, pods are per person rate).

- $1095 for Glamping Pod - early bird rate is $995, valid until 12/31/25

- $2695 for Yurt - early bird rate is $2595, valid until 12/31/25 
 

($100 savings if you register by end of the year!)
